Can I do something to inside wicker so it can be outside?

Margie B asked:

I have a wicker love seat that I would like to have outside. Can I paint/spray it with something so it can be outside?

You can seal it with a clear coat sealant. They come in a spray can form

Wicker is not being used to totally seal it still started unweaving on the integrity of polyurethane but it when it was getting wet from the seat and fixing it was getting wet from the automatic sprinklers overspray thought it during inclimate weather.
Wicker is very porous and you will not be able to mildew underneath the seat and fixing it with nonyellowing polyurethane like varathane but it during inclimate weather wicker is not be able to mildew underneath the wicker.
