Patio furniture - plastic straps. How can I repair them?

walmart sells replacesment straps as well as other outdoor furniture stores.

An area that wont been seen when the chair upside down and drill small pilot hole on top and drill small pilot hole on top and washers and drill small pilot hole on each.
