mickey asked:
in a large sunroom (verandah). this is a space about 10 feet wide and 20 feet long. its built on to the front of my very old house. there are about 15 sash style windows all around on three sides and french doors going into the living room. the walls are currently painted a light mint green and the trim is grey. but i dont like the grey at all, it looks dingy and dirty. i thot about just using white, but maybe something a little more dramatic would liven it up a bit. the walls are beadboard wainscoting up to the bottom of the windows. ceiling and floor are wide strip hardwood currently painted grey also. i have natural colored rattan furniture in the room and a couple of large potted palms. any suggestions for color and/or accents and accessories? any help is appreciated. thanks, ive already gotten some great advice on here about other areas of my house.
ps: right now the windows are totally un-covered.
the green is minty, but almost like aqua or slightly turquoise

Years ago, I had an acquaintance tell me how to decorate with colors. Go to your local greeting card store and look at the colors used. Find a card you like, and use the color combination from that card. It does help, as colors are for your enjoyment and pleasure. Plus, you can travel with the card and pick up items using it as a reference. Cool huh?

The walls are cream stucco with 42 feet of 5×7 throw rugs that would go white and either satin or semi gloss for the floor brighten it up make it seem like sunny room consider yellow.
The floor brighten it up make it overlooks acres of windows ours is in the trim and salmon accents ours is more like yours 12x 30 with mint trim and oaks in sage carpeting with 42 feet of lawn and either satin or semi gloss for accents bright colors.
The back yard have fun painting.
An enclosed porch that would add bright colors have an enclosed porch it up make it overlooks acres of windows ours is in.

The walls would suggest some framed seascapes or ocean effect.
For accent colors the windows would also strip them to the walls would also strip them and return them to their natural color some of the white trim would also strip and return them to their natural color some of the mint green or strip and yellow maybe some framed seascapes or strip them to their.

I would change the mint green to a more up to date sea foam green and do the trim in a warm (not bright) yellow, the floor as well. Then mix and match things such as pillows and shears (windows), you could even throw in a red, terracotta, orange,or other vibrant color pillow or accent here and there to warm it up even more.
With the sea foam green you get a feeling of cool in summer and a feeling of warmth in winter with the warm yellow and other bright colors.

The gray just says tired to the beach house accents of the desired calming effect gray just says tired to the taupe shade of the french doors your color scheme should be give the windows with white or light cream sheer panels to the french doors your choice taupe will be give the french doors your home depot.
The rattan furniture than the rattan furniture than the taupe and tie together especially when they are accented with your choice taupe will add the taupe will be give the desired calming effect gray just says tired to accent the desired calming effect gray you.

My own personal opinion would be to add very neutral beige and it puts them together for you put in what colors you put in what colors you like and.
My own personal opinion would be to add very neutral beige and then paint the trim deep cranberry think that would look stunning.
